Potential green belt candidates should have at least three years of full‐time employment experience. Internship or any other part‐time experience in projects is not relevant.   • Operate under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Analysis and problem-solving.
  • Six Sigma project participation rather than direct leadership.
  • Coordination with the project data collection process team and validation of the measurement system.
  • Projects within green belt’s own functional area.
  • Team facilitation skills improvement.
  • Development of a Project charter
  • Development of SIPOC (Supplier, Input, Process and Output) Diagram for the project.

 

Responsibilities of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

 

Green Belts may be tasked with technical work, so this may be something that requires extra training or development. It is seen as an important part of progression within an organisation. Green belts should also focus on applying their projects in an efficient way so that departmental organisational or client objectives are met. Green belts should also remember to always support the lean Six Sigma Black Belts in completing the project successfully.
